All clinicians are out of network; however, every client receives a Superbill at the end of the month that allows them the opportunity to file privately with their insurance company, should they choose to do so. Filing will often result in partial reimbursement, complete reimbursement, or application toward a deductible.
If you have questions about this process, please get in touch with your insurance provider and ask them about your “Out-of-Network Mental Health Benefits” to determine your specific plan’s arrangement.

With whom do you work?
What do you do in sessions with clients?
Traditionally speaking, we talk. But the types of conversations will largely depend upon the level of conflict you’re experiencing (within yourself or with others or both) and your goals for our work together. We strive to make therapy experiential – this is not just a place where you stay in your head about your struggles. This space is also where you experience new ways of working through them.
We may include food-related sessions, social exposure sessions, walk and talks, etc. We care about your personal experience and take pride in our ability to facilitate treatment accordingly.
Do your clients receive assignments between sessions?
Yes! Homework is a part of the sessions. But never fear; we often will remind you that it is always what you make of it. There is no wrong way to do our homework, even if you don’t do it!
Homework is about allowing you to take what we discuss in the session into your everyday world. And sometimes, people like those options and apply them regularly, while others may not. There are no gold stars for completing homework, or maybe everyone gets a gold star, depending on how you look at gold stars.
What modalities do you use?
Primarily, we are experientially based therapists. This therapeutic approach means that we want to take the real, tangible struggle you’re facing and bring it into our work together in a real, tangible way. If you struggle with food, we will incorporate that into the session. The same goes for working through your anxiety together.
If challenging relationships are the issue, we will address that. In these cases, let’s have more than one person sit on the couch since one person can rarely (if ever) solve a relationship dynamic independently.
What’s your professional training and experience?
All clinicians are trauma-informed and attachment-based. We have training in emotion-focused systemic modalities and utilize connection as a pathway to healing. We also uphold Intuitive Eating principles and maintain a non-diet mentality.
