Meet your needs in this space.

Holding two cultures can be a challenging experience, and it’s something that I understand all too well. You are caught between two worlds, unsure of where you belong. Despite your best efforts to fit in, you feel like an outsider, struggling to find your place in the world. We meet there – ready to navigate this bi-cultural experience together.

Whether you find yourself sitting in my office overlooking the cars speeding down the Nasa bypass or in a telehealth appointment from the comfort of your living room sofa, you’ll walk away from our sessions with clarity that often comes from opening the doors of vulnerability.

It’s a privilege to provide such a safe and warm space for you – and it’s fertile soil for your growth and healing.

Therapy is being open about your emotions.

I understand that sometimes people think therapy is all about crying. While there’s a space for those moments, I want you to hear that it’s about expressing all kinds of emotions.

Sometimes, we may find ourselves laughing, other times venting, and still, others sitting in the peace only a silent understanding can offer.

I’m here to hold all those moments alongside you; it means so much that you would trust me with them.

Hello, I’m Karina.

As a First Generation American, I have a knack for sitting in the challenging spaces of two cultures while laughing at some of the quirks of both. As a Houstonian, I’m always ready for a plate of BBQ and tickets to an Astros game, but I’ll never pass up a concha and cafecito. At the same time, I snuggle up and watch a Eugenio Derbez movie on a rainy weekend.

And while we’re on the topic of movies, I’ll need you to know that I love a good horror movie, even though I tend to close my eyes through the scariest scenes. I suppose that’s because, in the end, I love a good story, and I’m here to listen to yours as its pages unfold.
